Study Visits

ENCATE organizes study visits for its members so that they can explore new ideas and get inspiration. Study visits give participants a chance to learn insights from experts, discuss critical issues, and delve into crucial institutions’ activities.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Study Visit

Between October 4 and 9, 2020, ENCATE organized the study visit for 15 European educators. Similarly, the Museum experts had the opportunity to get to know good practices and experiences in Europe.

This 5-day virtual program aimed to:

  • allow participants to develop shared educational skills through workshops and discussions;
  • provide a space for European and USHMM educators to share their challenges, knowledge, and experiences;
  • explore educational, remembrance, and advocacy tools to ensure the respect, protection, and promotion of rights of minorities and to counter antisemitism;
  • get acquainted with other actors and pave the way for future cooperation.

The study visit was coordinated by KIgA, with the generous financial support of the German Foreign Office and “Live Democracy!” program.
